CNP Laboratory Anti-Pore Blackhead Clear Kit (Crazily Effective!) | Review

Over the course of my blogging journey, I get asked a lot of times about how to get rid of blackheads. So today, I'm going to share with you a gentle yet effective blackhead remover product that I recently discovered, and it is my current favorite product for removing blackheads. It is the CNP Laboratory Anti-Pore Blackhead Clear Kit.

This 2-steps hypoallergenic mask kit promises to melt blackheads and excess sebum effortlessly and also helps to soothe skin and tighten pores.

FYI, this is one of CNP Laboratory's best-selling products and was awarded 2014 InStyle Star Beauty Awards. Also, it has been featured in Korea's No.1 Beauty Show "Get It Beauty". Find out more here: link

Each box contains 20 sachets of masks, a packet of cotton swabs and an instruction leaflet in Korean and English.

How To Use:
1. Apply Step 1 Blackhead Clear Mask onto nose for 10 to 15 minutes.
2. Remove the mask and clean away the dirt with a cotton swab.
3. Then apply Step 2 Pore Tightening Mask for 10 minutes.
4. Pat gently to allow the remaining soothing gel to be absorbed into the skin.

For best results, place a steamed towel on your nose for 1-2 minutes before using the masks. To maintain a clean nose, I recommend using it once a week.

Tried and Tested

I've used this once, and this is my second time using it. Here goes my review:

The first treatment is the Blackhead Clear Mask. It contains CNP's patented active ingredients that gently melt blackheads and draw out unseen sebum to the surface of the skin through maceration.

The mask is well saturated with essence and is designed to minimize skin irritation and prevent pore expansion. It gives a very cooling and minty effect when applied, and it feels very refreshing.

After using the mask, I can clearly see lots of dirt sticking out on the surface of my skin. GROSS!

Unlike the regular nose strips, which forcefully pull the dirt out from pores, this loosens the pores, softens the debris and oil (= dirt) and lifts them out from pores to the surface of the skin. I would say this is less abrasive.

To be honest, there will still be some stubborn ones deep in the pores that resist getting drawn out. To get them out, just gently pinch your skin and they will all pop out. With the help of Step 1 mask, they pop out very easily with just a little bit of force. I usually use an extraction tool to extract them out.

To clean them away, just use the cotton swab provided and gently roll it over the dirt on your nose.

It will pick up the dirt, but it's not easy as it tends to transfer the dirt back to skin when you use it again.

So I usually use an exfoliating brush (which I got it from SASA) to scrub them off.

Next, Step 2 is a powerful Pore Tightening Mask. It contains Witch Hazel extract which is known for its astringent and anti-inflammatory properties. It also contains Zinc PCA which helps to control sebum and minimize the appearance of pores.

The mask is saturated with gel-like essence. It gives slightly less cooling effect but is more soothing than Step 1 mask.

After using the mask, the skin may feel sticky at first, but the stickiness goes away in a few minutes, and there will be no tacky or oily after-feel.

I was overwhelmingly impressed by the results! My pores have improved significantly, and my skin feels clean, super soft and smooth! The next day, I noticed my nose isn't as oily as it used to be.

Overall, it does a good job in cleansing blackheads/clogged pores, controlling sebum production and tightening pores. I have tried a variety of blackhead remover products over the years, but honestly speaking, this is the most gentle and effective I have ever tried.

The only downside about this product is that it's pretty expensive — I got it for ₩32000. But I would say it's worth the money. This product has become my holy grail, and I highly recommend it to all!
