- Winnie the Pooh is a CC cooling cushion that provides skin with instant moisture and cooling effects.
- Monster Inc. Mike is a long-lasting CC cushion that provides coverage for pores and controls shine.
- Mickey Mouse is a BB cushion that offers powerful coverage for imperfections.
The Winnie the Pooh cushion has SPF 42 PA+++, while the other two have SPF 50+ PA+++ that protect skin against harmful UV rays. They all have anti-wrinkle and whitening properties and are available in three shades – V103 Pure Beige, V201 Apricot Beige and V203 Natural Beige.
In case you are wondering about my choice of cushion compact, the reason why I chose the Mickey Mouse one is because it offers higher coverage than the other two. As I have acne-prone skin, I always opt for foundation that gives good coverage.
The BB Power Perfection Cushion comes in a black colored case with a snapped-on lid, and it has a Mickey design on the cover.
Right under the lid is where the foundation is stored.
A brand new cushion compact is sealed with a sticker.
The best way to apply a cushion foundation is to dab some foundation using the included sponge puff and spread it using patting motion, from the center of the face outwards.
Tried and Tested
The foundation has a moist, creamy texture and has a pleasant scent to it. I got it in the shade of V203 Natural Beige, and here's the swatch:
And here are the before and after pictures:
AFTER: Only BB Power Perfection Cushion applied
It made my skin look a little ashy and grayish at first, but it eventually oxidized to match my skin tone. For coverage, I would say it is medium to high. It does an excellent job of concealing capillaries, redness and light marks. However, I do still need a concealer to cover up intense redness and dark marks.
I wore this BB cushion in the heat, and I have to say the oil control is pretty bad. It doesn't seem to control oil at all. My skin starts to look super greasy and shiny after 2 hours of application, so I do need to touch-up after 2 hours. For staying power, it lasted for 5 to 6 hours before it starts to melt. It would last longer if you spend most of the time in an air-conditioned environment.
So far, I haven't experienced any breakouts. But I think it's too early to tell, as I have only tried it for a week. Well, if there are any issues, I will be sure to update it here.
Overall, it provides superb coverage leaving skin a dewy-looking, smooth and supple finish with a soft focus effect. The only drawback is it doesn't have any oil control properties, so it tends to make skin super duper greasy and shiny very quickly, especially if you are out in the heat. If you have oily skin, I recommend using it with an oil-control primer or powder and also, be sure to keep a pack of oil blotters in your bag.
Update 02/09/2016: Sadly, this bb cushion broke me out. I wouldn't recommend it to people with acne-prone skin.
